Life- Pappu Karki

Pappu Karki was the Kumaoni Folk Singer who Died in an accident on 9th Jun'2018. Born on Jun 1984 in Pithoragarh District; This young man struggled throughout his life to sustain his carrier as a well known Kumaoni Singer during the conditions when the generation of his age is showing interest in western culture and music. He faced the situation of Pahad Palayan after his high school. In Delhi, he served in a petrol pump and printing press. He also worked as a peon in a bank. But singing Kumaoni Folks was his childhood hobby that builds his career as a singer. Gives a strong message to everyone that "hobby can build your career."

Career Growth

Pappu Karki professionally started singing in 1998 but no considerable success was achieved by him until 2006. In 2006 he participated Uttarakhand Ideal Competition in Delhi and was the first runnerup there. After that, he moved ahead with a consistent pace in his career giving many hits back to back with known firms of kumaoni song producers like Rama Cassettes and Chandani Enterprises. In 2017 he started his own studio PK Enterprises in Haldwani for guiding youths interested in this field. He promoted Beti Bachao, Beti Padao Abhiyan composing a regional song for the same.
