Just Before the elections, Trivendra Rawat Government came up with the budget focused on Women Empowerment, Entrepreneurship, Farming, and Agriculture. Various sectors have been covered in this Budget, but you must know a few interesting things about the budget 2019 of Uttrakhand.

Highlights of Budget of Uttarakhand 2019

Here are some interesting Highlights of Budget of Uttarakhand 2019 you must know. 

1. For the promotion of Girl Child Education, Rs13 Crore have been included in Budget. It is a good thing to give priorities to Girl Education and it will lead to empowered women in Uttrakhand.
2. Smartphones for the Anganwadi Karyakarta in Chamoli, Haridwar, Uttarkashi, and US Nagar for monitoring and record keeping. It is a Good Initiative.
3. Rs10 Crore for Atal Amrit Abhiyan. ( a type of health insurance scheme for BPL to low-income family). Atal Ayushmaan Bharat Yojana is already running with the same benefits.
4. Rs475 Crore rupees for Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. The scheme is a centralized funded scheme.
5. The budget also includes construction of new hostels for working women in Dehradun and Haridwar.
6. Rs900 Crore for the construction of Gramin Sadak under PMGSY i.e. a centralized project.
7. Rs 282 Crore for MNREGA Project, It is also a part of a centralized project.
8. Rs 175 Crore for Reverse Migration. Migration is the biggest problem in overall hills of Uttrakhand. This budget seems very low after formation of Migration Commission in Uttrakhand, there is more scope of Budget in Reverse Migration.
9. Rs 200 Crore for Construction of new Bridge connecting State.
10. Rs 2545.40 Crore for Health and family welfare. Trauma Centre for every District has been included in the Budget 2019, there is already too much infrastructure to provide health services but due non-availability of health sector employees and staffs infrastructure is not maintaining.
